Autism Queensland is a not-for-profit organisation with a vision to partner with children, adults and families impacted by Autism Spectrum Disorder to make positive differences in their lives through choice and opportunity.
They provide specialised education, therapy and support services for people of all ages with ASD and their families. They are Queensland's longest serving and most experienced agency with over 45 years of experience in the delivery of Early Intervention, education and training, support, therapy and respite care.
After completing a Bachelor of Education, Lynda Melville commenced her teaching career in North Queensland in Special Education. She later transferred to Brisbane and commenced work with Autism QLD (AQ) and has been with AQ for over 20 years.
During her time at AQ, Lynda has worked with individuals from early intervention age through to adolescence and adulthood. Her roles have included group teacher, Metropolitan and Regional Consultant and for many years co-coordinator of AQ Training Services.
