While completing her Masters’ research project, she uncovered the deeper need to support those with disenfranchised grief.

Over the past two years, she has become one of Australia’s leading experts in Online Therapy and Online Therapy training.

She has recently commenced operations – due to industry demand – with her online training platform titled Australian Online Therapy Training (AOTT). She is now recognised internationally as an online therapist and in her training she combines psycho-spiritual practice with human connection in an online holistic experience of the digital space between.

She works in her private practice, Butterfly Courage, as a counsellor, coach, mentor and supervisor, working with a variety of clients, including couples, individual counselling, individual psychotherapy, business coaching, life coaching and holistic spiritual practice and guidance with Heart & Soul Movement and Heart & Soul Expression workshops and retreats.

Renee worked as a Teacher and Trainer/Assessor for Wollongong, Loftus and Ultimo TAFEs for seven years, along with more recently working for ACAP, Open Colleges and ACBC. She has developed programs, delivered training packages in online therapy, social media for therapists and has presented specialised training packages to community groups. She has also worked as a volunteer telephone crisis supporter and counsellor for Lifeline Australia and as a Community Educator and Trainer/Assessor with the Australian Breastfeeding Association.

In her free time she loves to ice skate, dance, meditate, attend Zumba classes, write poetry and spend time with her kids and just be in her lovely local surrounds – the beautiful South Coast of NSW.

In this training, Renee will present about the changes that are facing modern-day practitioners and what the way forward will need to be for private practice and service delivery in Australia in the future.
