As the first private education institution in Australia to deliver accredited counselling courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate level, ACAP University College is a place of extensive expertise in human behaviour.
Our Bachelor of Counselling provides entry-level counselling training with a strong focus on reflective practice, mental health, trauma-informed practice, counselling skills and theories. This course focuses on counselling frameworks and skills, ethical practice and cultural diversity. Students of ACAP’s Bachelor of Counselling undertake 200 hours of student placement to gain real-world experience and solidify their understanding of theoretical concepts. There is an option to study this course and graduate with a minor in coaching, upon completion of International Coach Federation (ICF) accredited units.
This course is professionally accredited by the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). The coaching units in this course are professionally accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF).
