Overview

Chris commenced her role at ACAP in 2021, bringing with her a broad range of practitioner experience. With a Masters of Social Work (Qualifying) and post-graduate qualifications in counselling, experiential and art therapy, Chris offers students an insight into working alongside diverse client groups in complex settings. Drawing upon her extensive clinical experience working with children, young people and families, Chris strives to foster a safe and inclusive learning environment that celebrates students’ strengths, decision making and integrity. Having worked in the field of education, post-separation, out-of-home care, child protection, custodial and community settings with young offenders, Chris is passionate about applying person-centred, human rights and anti-oppressive practice principles to social work and in her teaching at ACAP.
