Law at ACAP

We offer a curriculum informed by the profession to meet the needs of graduate and employers and an applied learning ethos that means that everything you do in your course has a practical application in the workplace when you graduate.

ACAP’s postgraduate law course, the Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, gives you all the practical tools you need to succeed and is designed to complement the theoretical knowledge you developed at university.

Real world ready

Beginning with mentor-guided learning from industry experts throughout your studies to wider opportunities for work placements through our partner, the Law Institute of Victoria (LIV)'s employer network, you’ll develop an authentic understanding across a range of legal scenarios to take with you as you embark on your career as a new lawyer.

My passion

Student centred learning

Student centred learning is similar to client focussed legal practice – both are human centred and are about service – not simply in a business sense but also in service of the broader community. Students must be prepared for the future of legal practice and what better way of assisting them to do that than by centring the learning on them. Developing their initiative and agency by student centred learning is critical to nurturing the best Australian lawyers for the future.
