Biography
Christine is a Senior Lecturer in Psychological Science at ACAP University College. She is a registered psychologist and Board-approved supervisor with AHPRA. After obtaining her PhD in cognitive neuroscience from the University of Melbourne, she undertook postdoctoral training at the University of Southern California. Her work focuses on the cognitive and emotional processes that shape mental health and wellbeing, particularly in the context of mood and anxiety disorders. In academia, she has taught and supervised across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, with a strong focus on bridging research and practice and supporting students to develop practical, evidence-based skills for psychological practice.

Christine teaches across the undergraduate and honours programs. She also has taught across a variety of postgraduate courses and placement units.

Research
Christine’s research focuses on the cognitive and emotional processes that shape mental health and wellbeing, spanning neuroscience and clinical psychology. She is particularly interested in interpersonal dynamics, patterns of thinking and feeling, and stress and trauma, as well as the neural and psychological mechanisms underlying mood and anxiety disorders. Her work aims to generate findings with clear real-world relevance, particularly in informing psychological practice and improving outcomes.
