Overview
I have been a qualified social worker since 1998 and have worked in the fields of HIV, old age, physical disability and mental health. Prior to joining ACAP I held several senior management positions including: Head of Mental Heath Social Work, Principal Social Worker (strategic lead for adult social work practice) and Head of Safeguarding Adults. I have extensive experience in change management, service development and policy writing. I am passionate about the power of social work to support people to make positive changes in their life, to address societal inequality and effect change at the community level and beyond.
Teaching and Coordination Responsibilities
I am the Unit Co-ordinator for SWSP 6163 Professional Practice and I teach on SWSP6043 Social Work Theory and Practice ( Group, teamwork and Organisational Learning). I supervise field education students.
