Overview
Cyan is a queer academic and counsellor, using they / them pronouns. They specialise in working with young LGBTQIA people and their families. Cyan is trained in reflective talk-therapy approaches, utilising psychodynamic theories of sexology and counselling to support clients. They also have training in CBT, ACT, trauma-informed care, and solutions-focused brief intervention therapy. Their research is typically qualitative, exploring lived-experiences and working to improve the wellbeing and mental health of LGBTQIA individuals.
