Overview
Daniel commenced at ACAP at the start of 2021. He completed undergraduate and postgraduate studies in both psychology and communication science at various universities. Daniel worked as a lecturer and later, senior lecturer at Helderberg College in South Africa for about seven years, teaching in both the psychology and communication science undergraduate programs. After moving to Australia, he started working as a research officer at the Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society (ARCSHS) at La Trobe University where he also completed a PhD in Psychology. Daniel also taught, concurrently, in the Professional Year Program at Monash College for five years. Recently he enjoyed a short stint at Statistics New Zealand, working as a design analyst in their census development team.
Research
Daniel’s interest is in Positive Psychology, with a specific focus on flourishing, well-being, social support, social capital and cross-cultural considerations.
