Overview

Mary has over nine years of experience in Higher Education and 30 years with industry. She has extensive experience in Social Work Field Education and has expertise in student supervision and liaison, community development, engagement and partnerships, policy, advocacy, management and leadership, and problem solving

In 2017 she received an ANZSWWER Field Placement Recognition Award (2017) and in 2018 a Field Education Scholarship of Teaching Award. Mary is recognised for her ability to resolve complex field education challenges and build trusting and respectful relationships with students, placement organisations and university staff.

Teaching and Coordination Responsibilities

Field Education is a core component of social work education. The Field Education Coordinator, Social Work will work closely with students, agency-based staff, and external student supervisors to ensure the quality of the field education learning experience.
