School of Counselling Course Workloads

Bachelor of Counselling

For each unit we recommend an average of 12 hours of study per week: One three hour class (on-campus students), or three hours of online learning activities and interaction with your academic teachers and fellow students (online and blended delivery students) including a one hour lecture and a 2 hour tutorial, AND a minimum nine hours per week of self-directed study, assessment preparation, general research and reading. For blended delivery, students have a 2 day on-campus workshop and 6 consultation drop in sessions per fortnight.

 

Graduate Certificate of Counselling

For each unit we recommend an average of 12 hours of study per week: One three hour class (on-campus students), or three hours of online learning activities and interaction with your academic teachers and fellow students (online and blended delivery students), AND a minimum nine hours per week of self-directed study, assessment preparation, general research and reading.

 

Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy

For each unit we recommend an average of nine hours of study per week, made up of three hours of online learning activities and interaction with academic staff and fellow students (online and by blended delivery), AND a minimum of six hours per week of self-directed study, assessment preparation, general research and reading.
