Scholarship Details

Please supply written confirmation of community recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander identity. Proof may be established with reference to the Local Aboriginal Land Council, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation or local decision-making group.

Will you have completed an Australian law degree (or equivalent) to be eligible to undertake Practical Legal Training (Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice - GDLP) or will you have completed the requirements before the particular GDLP intake you intend to apply for next year?

Please attach academic transcript of your Australian law degree or equivalent from your University to date. Only if you have subjects still to complete, please also attach proof of enrolment in the remainder of the Australian law degree subjects with expected year and month of final completion of results.

How are you a suitable candidate for receiving this scholarship? Please attach a brief curriculum vitae (work history and/or community involvement participation) and two referees and their relevant contact information.

Supply a brief statement (300 to 500 words) of your goals, describing your purposes for undertaking practical legal training, leading to admission to legal practice. Please also include any other relevant information including details of community or extra- curricular activities, aspirations, or persuasive reasons for your application that are consistent with the purpose and criteria of the Scholarship.
