Overview

Dr Tania Nichols (she/her) is a clinical psychologist experienced in and passionate about treatment, prevention and research of eating disorders and body image concerns across the lifespan. Tania's clinical experience covers working in inpatient, day program, not for profit, and private practice eating disorder services where she has tailored and facilitated individual, family, and group-based treatment interventions for adults, adolescents and children affected by a broad range of eating disorders and associated mental health concerns. Before joining ACAP, Tania was employed by the Butterfly Foundation as Clinical Supervisor for the National Helpline. Tania currently practices as a clinical psychologist at a multidisciplinary private practice that specialises in the outpatient treatment of eating disorders and related concerns on Sydney's lower North Shore.

Research

Tania has research expertise in the prevention and treatment of body image and eating disorders in children and young people. Findings from Tania’s research have been published in peer reviewed journals and have been presented nationally and internationally.
